After using GoDaddy for years, our 2 year renewal came up again a few months ago. The price had TRIPLED for the same service compared to my previous renewal 2 years earlier. I recently read a Forbes magazine article which outlined that GoDaddy used information when a person searched for an available domain name, to hike the price of that domain after a person had searched for it. I’m no longer a GoDaddy fan.
