Support: 10/10. When they say heroic support, they really are.
Always nice, always wishing you a good day/weekend/evening. The longest I’ve had to wait was 30 minutes for a support ticket. And about 1 minute and 2 seconds for phone.
Their support staff are knowledgeable.
They do offer 3rd party support – however they say “best effort” – now in my cases where I have asked for support on 3rd party scripts or applications – everything has been done correctly. I’ve yet to encounter any issue with them not being able to help with said 3rd party things.
The only issue I could possibly say with support is them not calling me by my first name. While this is really petty – in many cases in services provided – staff are usually trained to say Mr/Mrs/Miss or Ma’am or Sir. So that may be the way they’re told to address people.
Hardware/Network: 9/10. I’d still like more flexibility in terms of their “storm” bare-metal. I feel it’s not really a cloud (at least when I define cloud) so there’s that. However uptime has consistently been 100% as has been promised. I’ve not seen any issues on the uptime or network department.
They did recently (?) open up offers in PhoenixNAP – the only reason I haven’t moved the server I have with them there is because they only have 2 bandwidth providers there. I’d like 3 or more, although I probably wont notice any differences in day-to-day usage.
Price: 10/10. You get what you pay for. It’s very reasonable. In fact, it’s bloody excellent.
To sum things up, I’m really happy with LiquidWeb, and don’t see any reason to switch from them.
